Chemical Mass is a 5-piece, hard rock group from Jefferson City, Missouri. Original members include Steve Walters (Sifted/Aventine) Jordan Klebba (Rev Nation) Tom Troesser (Decadent Nation) Brad Toebben (Pyro Gourmet/Cambrian Fall) and Tony Schulte (Decadent Nation). Unfortunately, later in 2016 their original drummer, Tony Schulte, had decided to leave the band for personal reasons. So, they held auditions, and had two short lived members, Lucas Schroer (Dec 16 – Jan 17) and Dan Graff (Accidental Influence). Lucas had to leave the band due to a change in career and Dan joined in January 17. In a ten month span they had lost founding guitarist Jordan, Lucas and Dan. Jim Perkins (Accidental Influence) stepped in and worked with Jordan before his departure to make sure there was no gap in the bands show schedules. Jim took over guitar thereafter and is still currently with Chemical Mass. It was not long before their previously short-lived drummer Lucas rejoined the group.

Established in early 2014, Chemical Mass hit the mid Missouri music scene and released a 4-track demo. Featured songs such as "Denial" and "Nibiru" gave an early indication to their chosen direction. With Karnivool and Tool like influences, 2015 brought around their first digital release, a single titled "Beyond What You Know”. Then, in 2016 they released a new single titled "Secrets and Lies", which brought on an even more dynamic approach to their song writing. In fall 2017, they joined Jason Schrick of JPS Productions to further their musical path. They stepped into the studio to record their single, “Tempted” with Jason and Ian Eddy at Kevlar Soul Records in St. Peters, MO. Tempted was released summer 2018.

Fast forward to 2020/2021, despite the pandemic, Chemical Mass was pushing through and played some locals shows and opened for well-known band SALIVA in both unplugged and full production shows. In 2022, they made their way into the studio with Tim Hanson at North Village Recording in Columbia, MO and then to Nashville, TN to record with multi-platinum producer/engineer Malcolm Springer. In that time, they wrote and recorded two upcoming singles, Evolution and Reach for the sun) which are scheduled for release in 2023.
